And I thought this was going to be an easy week!!!

There are so many things I need/want to write about, but tonight I will just say this has been the worst week I think of my life and it is only Tuesday.

For starters Kris has been having pains in this abdomen we have been to the ER twice, they have drawn blood and done 2 cat scans and we still don't know what the problem is. This all started on Friday. He has not been able to work because of the pain. He went today, but the sent him home about 12:30 cause he looked so bad.

We got word this afternoon that his aunt went home to be with the Lord about 3:30. I know she is in a much better place, but it still hurts right now. We are thinking the funeral is going to be Friday, but not sure.

We were suppose to be going to Memphis this weekend to see Wicked and Rent, but that may not happen. We will just wait and see.

I will leave you with the lyrics to one of my most favorite songs.
Bow the Knee by Chris Machen

There are moments on our journey following the Lord
where God illumines every step we take
There are times when circumstances make perfect sense to us
as we try to understand each move He makes
When the path grows dim and our questions have no answers turn to him

Chorus
Bow the Knee
Trust the heart of your father
When the answer goes beyond what you can see
Bow the Knee lift your eyes towards Heaven and believe the One who holds eternity
and when you don't understand, the purpose of his plan
in the presence of the king Bow the Knee

Verse 2
There are days when clouds surround us and the rain begins to fall
the cold and lonely winds wont cease to blow
And there seems to be no reason for the suffering we feel
We are tempted to believe God does not know
when the storms arise, don't forget we live by faith and not by sight

Chorus
Bow the Knee
Trust the heart of your father
When the answer goes beyond what you can see
Bow the Knee lift your eyes towards Heaven and believe the One who holds eternity
and when you don't understand,
the purpose of his plan in the presence of the king Bow the Knee

Busy Busy Month

It has been one crazy busy month. First of all on the 10th we celebrated Kris's 30th birthday. Here is a pic that was taken as we come home from dinner. Robbie greeted him at the door with a pie in the face.

We have been so busy with Oliver that we haven't really done anything else. The show was wonderful. We had an AWESOME cast, great audience and a great cast party tonight. I am glad it is over just cause it has consumed so much of our life, but also sad. We met some really nice people during this show and it is going to be weird not to see or talk to them everyday.

Also during April we voted in view of a call for a new pastor. He will be here in June. I can't wait. I still miss Bro. Mark but I know that God is in control and he has placed them both in my life for a reason.
This week doesn't seem to be any less busy. Monday I have a board meeting at the theatre, Tuesday and Wednesday we have auditions for the show Kris is directing "To Gillian on Her 37th Birthday" then on Friday we will have to set up for the talent showcase that we are having on Saturday. It is a fundraiser for the theatre. I am also in need of donations for the bake sale and the silent auction that day if anyone is interested in donating something. Please let me know. It is on May 9th.
Well that is about all that is going on for the moment. Will try to update more often for the few readers I do have.

SERIOUSLY!!!!

I can't believe I haven't posted in a month. Things have been so crazy.

So here's whats been going on for me. We went to SETC in Birmingham at the beginning of March. It was so much fun but also very busy. I haven't walked that much in a LONG time. We were there from Wed thru Sun. Here is a pic of the cast and crew all dressed up and ready to go to the awards banquet and the masked ball afterwards.
I will post some more pics later or you can view them on my facebook if you want. We won best ensemble and Starkville Community theatre's production of Catfish Moon won best production and will travel to Tacoma,WA to compete in Nationals.
Since getting back I have been busy with work and Oliver. The day we came home I had a sore throat. By Thursday I thought I was going to die. I felt so bad and ended up not going to work on Thursday and Friday. I am better now so that is good.
So now I can focus on Oliver which opens April 23 at Black Rose. More to come later, but that is what is going on as of right now.

Great week

This week has been very busy yet relaxed at the same time. We had a performance of Rent on Sunday that was AMAZING!! The cast did a wonderful job. Monday Kris started his new job at Barnes and Noble. He really likes it. He is the music manager. What is cool is that he now works about 5 minutes from me and since he has been in training he is working the same hours as me. We rode to and from work together all week and went to lunch on Monday and Thursday. It was really nice to be able to spend some time together just the two of us. Thursday I worked box office for the current production at Black Rose "Dearly Beloved". It is a really funny show if you are looking for something to do this weekend or next. Tonight we are going to see Coraline with some friends. Kris really wants to see this movie and we never go to the movies together so I am going and hoping I will like it. Hope you are all having a great weekend.

Dearly Beloved opens Thursday February 19th at Black Rose Theatre!!

Brandon, MS - The Futrelle Sisters, Frankie, Honey Raye and Twink, are throwing a wedding.. Frankie has almost made herself sick with elaborate preparations for her daughter Tina Jo's antebellum-inspired wedding, and the rumor mill in their small town of Fayro, Texas, is working overtime. No surprise there, the Futrelle Sisters have never been strangers to gossip. But Twink's desperate attempts to get her boyfriend of fifteen-and-one-half years down the aisle, Frankie's ongoing conversations with their dead mother, and Honey Raye's tendency to race to the altar at every opportunity have kept tongues wagging for years. In spite of her own marital problems, Frankie has held steadfastly to the hope that she can pull off one "final Futrelle occasion" with elegance and style with the help of the cantankerous wedding coordinator, Miss Geneva, who runs the local floral shop/bus depot. But on the day of the nuptials, Frankie's hope begins to dim when she discovers Twink's alternative solution to an expensive catered wedding dinner. When the prodigal Honey Raye arrives at the church in skintight gold lamé, consumed by hot flashes and a steely determination to right old family wrongs, Frankie's hope is shaken. It is lost completely when word reaches the church that Tina Jo and her fiancé have fled Fayro and eloped.. The sisters ultimately pull together to find ways to keep the unsuspecting guests in the pews while a highway patrolman races off to track down the runaway bride and groom. As a last resort, and to the delight of the citizenry of Fayro, Texas, The Sermonettes reunite and sing again.
